Temperature in Southern Grayson County!

Living in Gunter creates a situation where residences must look to Dallas and Sherman news sources to find relevant information. We are too far from Dallas to be included on their radar shots and too far south in Grayson county to be included in news and weather discussions on Kten and Kxii. Many of us work in the Dallas area and must read Sherman airport temperatures and rain measurements almost 20 miles north to see what is happening in Gunter.

GunterTexas.com wants to have accurate weather reporting for the Gunter area and has begun research to acquire an Internet Weather station. This station will provide real-time weather, rain, wind, temperature, humidity stats and keep a weather history archive. The station and software to run this station will cost around $1300.

The Gunter Website is not owned or supported by the city and offers value that a city website never will or can. This weather station will need to be purchased after adequate donations are received.
