Cans For A Cleaner Community
We are now recycling monthly - the Second Saturday of each month at the Elementary School Gym parking lot.
From 8:30-10:30 a.m.
We currently have $441.90
from recycled cans. This money goes towards playground equipment for the new city park.
- Or that last year 54 billion cans were recycled, saving the energy equivalent to 15 million barrels of crude oil - America's entire gas consumption for one day?
- Americans throw away enough aluminum every three months to rebuild our entire commercial air fleet.
- Tossing away an aluminum can wastes as much energy as pouring out half of that can's volume of gasoline.
- Enough aluminum cans were recycled last year to fill a hollow Empire State Building 24 times.
- The 62.6 billion cans recycled last year alone would make 171 circles around the earth at its equator.

All proceeds will be donated back to the city/school system.
